Frequency of rostrally directed extension of labelled cells following injection of DiI or electroporation of a GFP expression vector into +/+, Lp/+ or Lp/Lp embryos at E7.5, followed by 18 hours development in whole-embryo culture (also see Fig. 1).
Proportion of embryos undergoing midline extension differs significantly between genotypes (P<0.001) for both DiI and GFP labelling methods.
