Data were collected while eight bantam hens undertook two inactive behaviours (digesting, thermoregulating). The model selected was: V̇O2=[8.29 ×log(PDBAxz)]+22.75, R2=0.21. The significant effects of individual identity and behaviour were incorporated into the standard error of the estimate (s.e.e.) calculated when using the selected model
