Larvae were collected on Nov. 13, 2001 and frozen for 40 days at−20°C. Larvae were then thawed at 22°C for 5h before tissues were removed and incubated in Chlorophenol Red-Coast's solution. S, survived;D, died.

Tissues and coloration scores were the same as Table 1 (N=9).
