Cover: The centriolar satellite and centrosome protein CCDC66 directly binds to microtubules and changes their organization when overexpressed in cells. Missing-in-metastasis protein downregulates CXCR4 by promoting ubiquitylation and interaction with small Rab GTPases
Summary: MIM promotes CXCR4 ubiquitylation by interacting with AIP4; this interaction is also required for CXCR4 sorting into multivesicular bodies, which is linked to MIM acting as an effector of Rab small GTPases.
Oxidative stress elicited by modifying the ceramide acyl chain length reduces the rate of clathrin-mediated endocytosis
Summary: Altering sphingolipid acyl chain length causes oxidative stress, reducing transcription of Hsc70 via Sp1, which leads to lower levels of Hsc70-mediated uncoating of clathrin-coated vesicles.
